Grab your friends and join this year’s Tuna Relay 200, an exciting overnight 200-mile relay through eastern North Carolina to the beach.

Tuna Relay 200

Teams for the Tuna Relay 200 begin departing early Friday morning from just outside of Raleigh, NC at Lake Benson Park in Garner. The race finishes on Saturday in Atlantic Beach, NC on the Crystal Coast, where teams typically begin arriving around noon.

Tuna Relay 70

The Tuna Relay 70 is a one-day relay beginning on Saturday in Trenton, NC. Runners will join the Tuna Relay 200 for the remaining 12 legs of the race through the outer banks of the Crystal Coast, from Emerald Isle to Atlantic Beach.

How many people can be on a team?

Teams are typically made up of 4 to 12 people who split 36 legs. With a 12-person team, each person would run three legs over distances from 3 to 10 miles. Teams must provide their own support vans for dropping off and picking up runners at designated zones along the relay route.
