Whether you’re looking to get in a little exercise during your vacation or want to get out and explore the area’s scenic landscapes, Emerald Isle’s Bike Path offers an alternative means with which to get around town and a great way to burn off a few calories.
The Emerald Path extends nearly 11 miles from The Point at Bogue Inlet, on the western end of Emerald Isle, all the way to the Indian Beach town limits. Stroll, jog or ride down the path as it winds through grassy areas along Coast Guard Road and wooded areas that lead to the Welcome Center, before meandering through downtown Emerald Isle and ending at the eastern town limits.
A variety of local shops and restaurants can be found along the trail, in addition to surf shops, a grocery store and numerous beach access points. For those that prefer to ride along the path, there are also several shops that offer bike rentals in Emerald Isle.
