The Sound of Freedom Golf Course is located on an active military installation – the Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point and is the first course ever designed by George Cobb. This course is notable for its lack of houses and other residences along the course. Remember if you have to yell “fore”, make sure it’s not during a jet fly-over!
This par-72, 18-hole course stretches across more than 6,642 yards from the blue tees. Highlights of this course include a pro shop, PGA instruction, chipping area, snack bar, putting green and 24-hour driving range. Although the Sound of Freedom Golf Course is a military golf course, it’s open to the public.
