The History Museum of Carteret County in Morehead City makes history fun! This unique landmark contains artifacts that date back to the early 1800s.
Maintained by the Carteret County Historical Society, this informative museum offers special events, educational programs and a collection of artifacts that reflect the culture and heritage of the Crystal Coast. You’ll find award-winning carved decoys from the Core Sound Decoy Carvers Guild, an array of family quilts and much more, all at the History Museum of Carteret County.
Take a tour of the 12,000-square foot museum, browse the memorabilia and displays, and then take a minute to look up your ancestors in the library.
