Core Sound Run

Join us for the 9th Annual Core Sound RUN on Saturday, April 5th at 9 am!

Be part of Down East Carteret County’s largest assembly of runners, walkers and cheering friends for the Core Sound RUN 2025 in Harkers Island, NC! Runners, walkers, and youth teams from Carteret County and the surrounding area come together for one of the most beautiful runs in Eastern North Carolina.

Now in its 9th year, more than 400 participants are expected to help us welcome spring to one of North Carolina’s most beautiful islands — Harkers Island with The Core Sound Museum’s family-friendly 10K, 5K, and Fun Run. The Core Sound Run begins and ends “at the end of the road” – at the edge of Core Sound.

All proceeds from this family-friendly event support Core Sound’s educational programs throughout the year.
